The Lenawee Economic Development Corporation is hosting four workshops in January 2011. These workshops are designed to help individuals and business owners who are looking for new opportunities, and are offered at no cost, thanks to sponsorship from South Central Michigan Works. Materials and light refreshments will be provided.
Workshop dates and topics:
Creating your Strategic Marketing Plan: January 13th, 9:00am - 3:00pm (Lunch included)
Facilitated by Debra Power of Power Marketing. This session will provide the tools, processes and methods needed to develop and execute a marketing plan.
Visioning and Goal Setting: January 18th, 3:00-5:00pm
Facilitated by Carrie Hensel, Inner Circle Media and Women’s Exchange of Washtenaw. Participants will assess the vision and goals for their company, team or career. Learn how to articulate the vision in inspiring ways, set strategies and goals and measure progress toward those goals. Participants will complete a visioning and goal-setting workbook and leave the session with a plan to accomplish their goals for 2011.
Creating Your Dream Business: January 20th, 1:00-3:00pm
Facilitated by Debra Christein, Partner, B2B CFO. At this workshop, participants will explore how to keep their vision alive and create a pathway of concrete steps to building a successful company that sustains the initial excitement and joy. Workshop participants will leave the session with clarity around their personal vision, clear metrics to define success, and the steps to take on the pathway to creating a business that fulfills on the dream that started them on the journey to be a business owner.
Careers in Franchise Ownership: January 25th, 3:00-5:00pm
Facilitated by Greg Danzinger, FranNet. Learn how franchising can provide a desirable alternative to traditional employment by reducing the risk of ownership to an acceptable level through proven business systems, comprehensive training and ongoing support.
All of the workshops will be held at the Lenawee Economic Development Corporation’s office, 5285 West US-223 in Adrian (lower level of the GreenStone Farm Credit Services building).
